Original 1890's French arsenal manufactured Chilean cavalry sabre blade, Comes with Bird Cage Hand Guard but does not have the handle, scabbard is covered in light rust, in *Fair* condition.

Sold Individually.
Heavy French made Cavalry Sword for Chile.
Includes the sabre blade, scabbard and bird cage hand guard (as pictured)
These DO NOT include the handle.
The “T” section blade has a wide single fuller on both sides.
This heavy cavalry saber blade was manufactured in France.
“Manufacture d’armes de Chatellerault JH” is marked on the spine.
Manufacture d’armes de Chatellerault is the French state-owned weapon manufacturer in the town of Châtellerault.
JH stands for Jacob Holtzer, who supplied the steel for the blade.
On one side of the ricasso is a small shield, this is the Chilean coat of arms. 
The other side will show the French inspector marks, some barely visible.
Scabbards will be bent, cracked, dinged and rusty.
The sabre will have service wear and pitting.
May show additional signs of rust, wear, marring, grime, etc...
