These stocks were originally intended for use on M1Garands with (shorter) 7.62NATO barrels.
They have been modified near the front with an extension for use with .30-06 length barrels (see picture).
Dark finished wood, with no parts fitted.
May show signs of wear, marring, dents, and grime from storage.
