Colt M7 (M16) Bayonet with US M8A1 Scabbard, *Very Good*

Original Colt manufactured M7 bayonet (for the M16 rifle) with US M8A1 scabbard, in *Very Good* condition.

Sold individually.

These are not the more common West German contract produced M7 bayonet.
All the bayonets we have for sale were made by Colt Manufacturing Company, Hartford, Connecticut.
These have the Colt "Rampant Mustang" logo and part number on the blade.
These bayonets are from a defense contract, were delivered (along with the M16 rifles) and appear to have been stored ever since (30+ years).
All the bayonets are in *Very Good* condition.
The bayonets are as they were issued, just showing handling marks from years of storage.
The blades will have light drag marks from the tension spring inside the scabbard.
The scabbards are correct to the Colt production and are USM8A1 marked.
Some scabbards show light brown spots on the metal, or can have scratches.
Snaps may have verdigris or have brass showing where the blacking is gone.
A hanger rivet may be thru the canvas on one side.
A few minutes spent cleaning/oiling these can do wonders for the appearance.
These are extremely rare bayonets and have been sold elsewhere/at auction for a much higher price than what we are offering them for here.

These are an issue item and were made for Soldiers to utilize in the field, please don't make this purchase expecting fit & finish of collectors grade knife.
