The original vintage steel USGI ammo can!
This ammo can has the mounting latch on one end, for mounting to the 1917A1 cradle mount.
This used M1A1 .30 cal. ammunition storage can is USGI issue, expect a film of powdery sand and small spots of light rust. 
This can has a black rubber seal in the lid, and comes painted USGI green with yellow markings that indicated the original contents.
Designed to store 250 rounds of belted .30 cal. 1917A1 ammo.
