The reversed positioning of the grip is designed to allow the buttstock to clear the grip when closed.
These Romanian handguards were designed solely for export on the AIMS-M65 variant of the AK-47.

Handguards may or may not have metal hardware, may be extremely dark or dirty, or may have scarring in the wood.
These handguards have cracks (highlighted in chalk) toward the front of the grip, due to the lamination of these pieces.
