Talk about luck! You know that any NOS or "special" or "unissued" is always advertised with a picture of the best looking bit in the bin, but I just realized the one I received today IS THE ONE IN THE PHOTO! Great piece of wood and the buttplate is really a LOT better than any of the ones I've gotten in kits.

The push pin holes will need to be enlarged just a bit to accept the inserts. The wood is very nice. This is not a ready to use part. It will take a little finishing and a few tools to be able to use this stock. Good for a minor project.

The wood was in excellent shape. The metal inserts for the pushpin holding holes do not fit. They are too big. The butt pad is VG to G, but is not perfectly fitted to the flat-end buttstock. There are no holes pre-drilled into the stock for either the butt plate screws or the screws that would fit into the recoil spring and rod guide fitting. This is not a ready to use part. You will have to do some fitting to make this work but it's a good quality item.
