  1. perfect!
just finished assembling ak with RAS47 surplus barrel and it came out great, despite being a mix of Bulgarian, romainian, polish, usa, and Hungarian parts. The trunnion measured 1.225" (normal is 1.250), but it installed on 1mm receiever with out any problems (no shims needed), other than having to file the carrier rails slightly so the bolt carrier could move smoothly. I am buying more, since at $89 it is way too good of a deal to pass up!

  2. good deal
I bought two of these, since I had some extra parts lying around...I had two Hungarian bolts and one headspaced fine on both barrels/ trunnions and the other was a little tight, but worked fine. Unfortunately, I didn't realize they were made with 1/16" receivers (which is stupid, since they could've just used a 1.5 MM receiver and been standard with all the other millions of AK's), so, I'll probably just end up shimming the front trunnion so I can use a 1.0MM receiver rather than waste money and time on modifying parts to accept 1.5mm. Still, a great deal, since barrels go for $90 and all the work is already done. One barrel came with a rear sight, while the other didn't. No biggie. The front detent is DEEP, too (almost 7/8"!) and I had to cut a 1/8" drill rod to take up the extra space. Everything works now and I can't wait to build them!

  3. Will not Headspace
I tried 3 different bolts and none would turn into the barrel Trunnion on a GO Gauge. I did a web search on Century Arms RAS47 problems. It seems the Trunnions are breaking at the right locking lug because of this and not being heat treated properly. Do you think that's why these were torched ? I'll press out the barrel pin and trunnion and install a Polish barrel trunnion and over sized pin. Century has been building AK's for years and still can't get it right.
