Portuguese contract Danish Madsen MG (non-functional) Display Gun & issue tripod, 8mm, WWII, Metal, in *Good* condition.

This is a non-functional display piece and is for reference purposes only.
Built from original Madsen Parts Set, with the receiver welded with a 3 inch solid block added and the bolt bead welded into the receiver.
This is a BATF compliant non-firing Madsen Display LMG assembled onto re-welded non operational shortened receiver.
Complete with original issued bipod, wood butt stock and detachable magazine, our display gun still has an operational hammer and trigger assembly.
Complete tripod with T&E mechanism and RARE auxiliary trigger.
Original wood buttstock has some marring, grime, and chips, but no cracks.
Has mars, scratches from rough handling in storage.
The rivet in the stop piece at rear left side leg adjustment knob has been sheered off (as pictured).

This is a very nice example of a Danish Madsen Light Machine gun, produced by IMA years ago.
This is a BATF compliant non-firing Madsen Display LMG assembled onto re-welded non operational shortened receiver.
Constructed of 95% original parts manufactured in Denmark and extensively used during WWII.
Complete with original issued bipod, wood butt stock, and detachable magazine, our display gun still has an operational hammer and trigger assembly so weapon can be cocked using the charging lever and dry fired.
Complete tripod with T&E mechanism and RARE auxiliary trigger.
Madsen tripods have a particularly important place in the history of machine guns; the Madsen tripod was the FIRST machine gun tripod to incorporate SOFT RECOIL.
This feature greatly reduced or eliminated the effect of the gun's recoil on accuracy.
The soft recoil feature allowed the gun to recoil straight back against a spring, which then returned the gun to its original position.
