For nearly 70 years the standard issue holster for the M1911 .45 Auto pistol has been the Model 1916. This pattern holster in the natural brown leather color was used throughout World War I, World War II, Korea and into the Vietnam War. These *NEW* Commercially Manufactured holsters are made from a quality grade of brown leather and just like the originals these have the metal GI type pistol belt hook, leg thong, and are marked "US" on the flap. This holster can be worn on a standard waist belt by using the double 1 3/4 inch slots located on the back. The stitching is reinforced with rivets for long lasting rugged service. This Model 1916 leather holster is perfect for carrying your 1911 in the field or for re-enactments.
