A precision compass based instrument used by the Platoon Commander to determine the desired direction of fire. The reading would then be communicated to all Gunners who would dial it into their indirect fire sights. This would allow for a large volume of fire to be accurately placed in a specific location. Complete with its original leather case with strap.
