Original US Navy 3 inch Gun Drill Round Transit Crate with Inserts, Made of Wood, in *Good* condition.
Sold Individually (unit pictured is what you will receive).
Includes the original transit crate only.
Transit crate is made of wood with a metal cover/lid.
Comes with wooden inserts inside the case.
Outside of the case is painted black and white.
Expect paint to have chipped and be worn.
Shows additional signs of wear, marring, grime, etc...
The WW2 US Navy 3″/50 caliber gun fired a projectile 3 inches (76 mm) in diameter, with a barrel that was 50 calibers long (barrel length is 3 in × 50 = 150 in or 3.8 m).
Different guns (identified by Mark numbers) of this caliber were used by the U.S. Navy throughout WW2.
