Incredible parts kit to have added to your prime collection! The Maremont Corporation is the primary manufacturer of these guns at their facility in SACO Maine. Kits were carefully disassembled and include all the parts pictured, minus the receiver shell. Stripped receiver shell was destroyed per ATF requirements. Rails and rear brace were carefully removed from the receiver shell and trunnion. Original issue live barrel with front sight, flash hider, bipod and gas cylinder ( with gas piston ) is included. Bolt, operating rod, feed tray assembly, top cover and gas tube have signs of service / field use. Trunnion (marked M60D) has the gas tube installed ( with no pitting inside ), Bolt and op-rod are shipped assembled. Combination wrench and issue TM are available separately. May show signs of wear, marring, grime, etc...

The M60 General Purpose Machine Gun was introduced into US service in 1960 and replaced all .30 caliber light and heavy machine guns in US service. Several versions are produced, the standard gun has a bipod and can be fitted onto a tripod, the M60E2 is a CO-AX mounted MG for tanks and armoured vehicles, the M60C is for remote firing on aircraft outboard weapon mounts and the M60D is pintle mounted for helicopters, attack boats and exterior mounted on armoured vehicles. Air-cooled, belt fed, gas operated automatic weapon firing from an open bolt with a cyclic rate of 550 RPM using standard 7.62 NATO M80 ball ammunition. It weighs approximately 23 lbs and has an effective range of 2250 yards (when on a pintle or tripod)
