TSh2B-32P Soviet T-55A Medium Tank Main Gun Optic, Gulf War Trophy

Original TSh2B-32P articulated telescopic coaxial daytime sight for the Soviet T55 series Medium Tank 100MM Main Gun, removed during the Gulf War in 1991.

Fantastic piece of history to collect, or to use for display!
Includes the articulated coaxial telescopic sight with lenses and reticle intact.
The TSh2B-32P has two levels of zoom: 3.5x and 7x.
The telescope appears intact and complete, minus the hard rubber pad for the gunners brow rest.
The mechanical controls on the outside of the TSh2B-32P telescope move and appear to function.
As we do not have a way to test we cannot guarantee the function of the wiring and electrical connectors.
The t-55 series of medium tanks were originally produced in Soviet Russia and exported to various countries.
When Iraq attempted to occupy Kuwait, the T-54/55s were supplied by Russia and used by the Iraqi military.
This tank scope was removed by a U.S. service member (in an EOD unit) and shipped home from the Iraq War / Gulf War in 1991.
Cardboard box pictured (with US Customs label, etc) is the original packaging used to ship this trophy home.
The TSh2B-32P will show signs of use, with weather wear, surface rust spots and heavy dirt, grime, marring, etc...

The most produced tank in history, the Soviets pumped out T-55 series tanks and over time they were slowly modernized with better sights, radios and fire controls.
Built for their simplicity and reliability, the T-55s were adequate in their firepower, protection and speed making them the most inexpensive Main Battle Tank (MBT) to date.
These tanks had infrared headlights and infrared searchlights for night operations.
